Our customer purchased a 60 year old home with a tremendous backyard overlooking a local lake. The existing structure had limited views on to the lake and our customer was focused on maximizing the lake view from every conceivable place in the house.  Working with the designer who specializes in renovations, we started by extending the kitchen to include an exterior porch and installed 2 double sliding doors to increase the view from the dining area. The master bedroom was moved upstairs and was expanded by raising the ridgeline and ceiling heights to include massive windows overlooking the lake.  Additional double sliders were included to open up the view from the living room and the first floor guest room. There is even a window placed to enhance the view from the double shower in the master bathroom. The next phase of the project will be to finalize the design of the full deck to run the width of the entire house.

The homeowner wanted to update a guest bedroom and bathroom to create a five star hotel feel. The challenge was to include a large shower and double vanities in a 60 sq foot area. The interior designer worked with HOMELINE to create more space by relocating the commode and eliminating an undersized tub. A large side to side mirror was added above the new vanity which added to the spacious feel.  Multiple arches, polished nickel fixtures and a custom silver leaf chandelier were incorporated to further enhance the high end look and feel. The highlight was the custom tile and marble. The designer and homeowner created a design of different sized beveled crema marfil tiles for the shower area. The tile was hand beveled by a local stone provider and required over four weeks to produce.  The design also included custom made tiles of various animals to complement other forest themes in the home.
